I’m Jess - a project management consultant and trainer for change makers.
After 15 years working at the intersection of business and social impact, I know what it’s like to feel like you have to bootstrap the planning and execution of game-changing work for a better world. I believe we have an opportunity, and a critical imperative, to standardize and increase the accessibility of good project management knowledge and skills in impact spaces. My mission now is to better support brilliant leaders and doers on their quests to make the changes we need for a better future happen, faster and more effectively. The content is rooted in a deep body of traditional project management knowledge and practice but thoughtfully adapted for social impact contexts and objectives. The course contains 6 modules, with bite-sized videos (3-5 mins each) to maximize digestibility and ease of revisiting key topics of interest.

An intro to the foundational concepts of project management and how projects can be designed as purposeful vehicles for change.

Deepen exploration on elements that can be established as a part of project initiation to support key impact measurement and stakeholder engagement activities.

Understand that project management is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Review the project management process for each development approach: traditional, agile, and hybrid. Get familiar with key tools that can be used at different points to build alignment, make decisions, execute on plans, and evaluate and iterate as needed.
